Follow along with the read aloud, Being a Good Citizen by Adrian Vigliano.
After reading, have a discussion with someone about what it means to be a good citizen. You can use these questions or come up with some of your own.
- What can you do to take turns at school?
- How can I be good citizen at home?
- How can you show respect for family, friends, and people in the community?
- How can you help your community?
Brainstorm ideas about how to be a good citizen. Make a poster that shows ways to be a good citizen at home, in school, or in the community. Make a detailed plan about how you will go about being a good citizen. Share your poster and plan with others. Keep your poster in a place where you can see it so you remember to be the best citizen you can be!
